The crew at VEH are all committed Helicopter enthusiasts each bringing their own key experience in the running of an aviation operation to the common table.
While the company was started in 2006, thus essentially a start-up, the new venture has taken the two founding members into new dimensions, giving them the latitude to bring to life their ideals for running a Helicopter operation centered on the customer.
Early in 2006 it was decided that VEH’s core activities would be Helicopter Pilot Training, Charters/Contracts and Sales and the founding members thoughts, on the then embryonic company, were shared with the relevant personnel at the South Africa Civil Aviation Authority prior to the company’s inception. Their advice was listened to and noted, and students were also consulted for their input. Thus, a turn-key operation has evolved which satisfies the stringent safety imperatives of the SA CAA.
VISION
The VEH vision is, put simply, the customer is central, however, this can be extended to the following:
- a “safety-first”, culture satisfying the SA CAA on all points,
- providing a safe, efficient, and professional training, charter and contract service,
- seeking to further the cause of Helicopter operations in the community by close adherence to noise abatement and height restrictions,
- producing Helicopter pilots of the highest caliber through rigorous attention to detail in practical flight instruction and an asymmetric approach to theory instruction utilizing cutting-edge tools.
